LAST MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING FROM THEM.

The last minutes of the 23rd October 2003 were read and agreed as a true record.

Village Officer Funding:- £850 had been awarded from CASE.

Maternity Unit:- David Flear will meet with Professor Andrew

Calder when he visits Wick.

Proposed New Basketball/ Sports Area:- on going.

Village Officer Update:- Fireworks and the purchase of them without suitable checks being made was discussed.

3/CORRESPONDENCE.

Letters received were discussed and noted as follows:

  • Letter from Scottish Executive regarding A9 at Berriedale and Ord improvements. Work on £500,00 improvement scheme at Berriedale Braes is to start in Spring.
  • Letter to be sent to Bear Scotland regarding the condition of the A9 road.

It was felt that the street lights in Castletown should come on earlier in the evening and be switched off later in the morning.

David Flear to be invited to attend the next meeting.

Being no further business the date for the next meeting was set for Thursday 22nd January 2004 at 7:30pm in the Castletown Drill Hall.

The meeting closed at 21:45hrs.
