Minutes of meeting held on Tuesday 29th November 2005 in the Castletown Drill Hall at 7:50pm

MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING FROM THEM.

The minutes of the last meeting held on 25th October 2005 were read and agreed as a true record.

Putting Field - removal of posts from Putting Field had not been due to extra costs involved, but as to whether the area would be used again and a new fence erected. Removal of remaining part of fence and posts still ongoing.

Metal Bins – 10 plastic bins could be purchased for the cost of 1 metal bin. Metal bin could be in place at Sand-End in the summer period.

Salmon Nets – some doubt as to who the owner of the ground is.

Flooding at Butcher Shop – tarring a possibility.

Cutting back of trees on Wick road – site visit to be made.

Cemetery re planting of trees and shrubs – contact made with S.Gordon who is agreeable to the planting of shrubs.

Progressing slowly. Sepa looking at discharge consents.

9/AOCB.

Report on Friends of the Far North Line AGM:
Good attendance, more than previous years. Getting personal about issues raised. Two from Caithness on Committee.

Event to be held on Saturday 21st January 2006 in the Drill Hall from 12 to 2pm. Letters to be sent to All Groups who hold meetings etc. in Castletown asking them to “showcase” themselves at this event and hopefully attract more members, supporters or helpers to their group.

Being no further business the date for the next meeting was set for Tuesday 17th January 2006 at 7:30pm in the Castletown Drill Hall.

The meeting closed at 21:45hrs.
