The minutes of the last meeting held on 23rd January 2007 were read and agreed as a true record.

Consultation regarding Dounreay particles - out of the options available the preferred option was onshore monitoring with recovery and recovering of offshore particles by the targeted bulk removal of marine sediments. Least preferred option, bulk removal of beach sediments and recovering of offshore particles by the targeted bulk removal of marine sediments.

Future of Post Offices - consultation response form completed.

Housing Development at Harland Road area - reply containing several comments to be sent to Highland Council Planning Office (differences in maps supplied - factually incorrect, last plan much better, no basic lay out, access to the proposed development).

Association of Community Councils meeting in Halkirk on Wednesday 28th February 2007, John Crowden to attend.

Highland Council Elections to be held in May. Ian Hargrave appointed Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross manager. Four councillors will represent the Caithness land ward area. Explanation of voting system given.

Being no further business the date for the next meeting was set for Tuesday 27th March 2007 at 7:30pm in the Castletown Drill Hall.
